"Ana is suddenly assaulted by the monster of anxiety generated by a sense of inadequacy. A chance encounter with an old school friend is enough to create in her the fear of not being up to it. The fear of judgment is so high that it triggers a panic attack. Day by day, her desire for perfection increases, the desire to be flawless, the tendency to isolate herself to avoid situations that generate difficulties. Ana’s enemy is not outside but inside: she must fight against her low self-esteem and fear of judgment.
Her mother tries to break down that wall of isolation by leaving her a note every day with a thought. Thoughts about the freedom to decide who you want to be; about the importance of not having to be equal to anyone but simply and beautifully yourself.
And just at the worst, assailed by the feeling of being inadequate for the world, the discretion and unconditional love of her mother opened her eyes to the beauty and value of uniqueness."
